Description

Sterile Non-Stick Dressings for First Aid Kits

Product code: REF P01481

The Solventum (formally 3M™) Inadine™ Non-Adherent Dressing is a sterile non-stick wound dressing designed to help manage bacterial contamination in a range of acute and chronic wounds. The non-adherent dressing is impregnated with povidone iodine (PVP-I), giving it topical antimicrobial action while the low-adherent design helps protect the wound surface and support gentler dressing changes.

This non-stick sterile dressing can be used as a primary dressing or together with a secondary dressing, depending on the wound type and level of exudate. A practical feature of the dressing is its colour change from orange to white, which can help indicate when it may be time for a dressing change.

    Directions for useDirections for use

Indications for Use: Inadine is intended for managing ulcerative wounds and preventing infection in minor burns and traumatic skin loss injuries.

    Application:

    • Clean the wound area and ensure the surrounding skin is dry.
    • Remove the dressing from its sterile packaging and apply the non-adherent side (infused with Povidone-Iodine) directly to the wound.
    • Secure the dressing with a secondary dressing if necessary.

Dressing Change Frequency: The dressing should be changed when it turns white, indicating reduced antiseptic efficacy. This can occur up to twice daily, especially in cases of heavily infected wounds or those with significant exudate.

Precautions: Inadine should not be used by individuals with known iodine hypersensitivity, thyroid disorders, or kidney problems, and is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It should also be avoided in cases of Duhring’s herpetiform dermatitis.
