How Do Soluble Seam Bags Work?

Each bag is manufactured from polyethylene with a water-soluble seam running down the middle and includes a detachable soluble tie for securing the opening.

During the initial stages of the laundry cycle, the seam dissolves and allows the bag to open, releasing the enclosed linen into the wash. This design helps minimise unnecessary handling of soiled or contaminated laundry between collection and washing.

The soluble seam is positioned on the outside of the bag to help prevent it from prematurely dissolving through contact with damp linen while the bag is being filled or transported.
