    Directions for use
    How to Use
    1. Start with clean and dry skin: Ensure that your skin is free from any moisture, sweat, or other skincare products before applying sunscreen.
    2. Timing is key: Apply the sunscreen approximately 20 minutes before you plan to go outside. This allows the product to fully absorb into your skin and provide effective UV protection.
    3. Measure the right amount: For an average-sized adult, it is recommended to use about 35ml of sunscreen for full body coverage - equivalent to one teaspoon of sunscreen per arm, leg, front of body, back of body, and face (including the neck and ears).
    4. Apply evenly: Take a sufficient amount of sunscreen in your palm and apply it to one area of your body at a time. Gently massage it into your skin using circular motions, ensuring that you cover all exposed areas thoroughly.
    5. Don't forget the high-risk areas: Pay special attention to commonly neglected areas such as the ears, back of the neck, and back of the legs. These areas are often susceptible to sunburn, so be sure to apply sunscreen generously to provide adequate protection.
    6. Reapply as needed: Remember to reapply the sunscreen every two hours or more frequently if you're sweating heavily or engaging in water activities.

Note: Avoid prolonged sun exposure, and never rely on sunscreen alone for protection. Wear protective clothing, including a broad-brim hat, use UV-protective eyewear/sunglasses, and seek shade whenever possible.

    Warning

When using the Cancer Council Everyday Sunscreen, please take note of the following precautions:

Not for infants under 6 months: This sunscreen is not suitable for babies under 6 months old. For sun protection advice for infants, please consult a healthcare professional.

Avoid contact with eyes and broken skin: Keep sunscreen away from your eyes to prevent irritation. Additionally, refrain from applying it to broken or damaged skin areas.

Watch for skin irritation: If you experience any skin irritation while using sunscreen, rinse the affected area thoroughly with water. Discontinue use immediately if the irritation persists and seek medical advice if necessary.

Always read the label. Follow the directions for use.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the sunscreen last?

The sunscreen provides protection for up to 2 hours. After that time, it's a good idea to reapply for continued defence against those sneaky UV rays.

And here's a pro tip: if you've been swimming, sweating, or towel drying, make sure to reapply right away. That way, you'll keep your skin shielded and ready for more sunny adventures!

Can you tan with sunscreen on?

When used correctly, sunscreen can help protect your skin from the harmful effects of the sun's UV rays, including sunburns. However, it's important to note that sunscreen is not designed to promote or enhance tanning.

The primary purpose of sunscreen is to provide a barrier against UV radiation and reduce the risk of skin damage. While sunscreen with lower SPF levels may allow some minimal tanning to occur, it's essential to prioritise sun protection over tanning goals.

How much sunscreen to apply to the face?

When applying sunscreen to your face, it's generally recommended to use about a nickel-sized amount or approximately ¼ teaspoon (1.25 mL) of sunscreen.
