    When to Wear

    These nitrile gloves should be worn for all activities involving chemotherapy drugs, including:

    • Compounding and preparation
    • Administration of chemotherapy
    • Handling waste from recently treated patients
    • Cleaning and managing chemotherapy spills

    Proper glove selection is essential in reducing occupational exposure to hazardous drugs.

    Glove Type & Wearing Method

    • Use disposable, chemotherapy-qualified, powder-free nitrile gloves.
    • Gloves should extend over the gown cuffs for maximum protection.

    Double Gloving:

    • One pair should be worn under the gown cuff.
    • The second pair should be worn over the gown cuff.

    Single Gloving:

    • Gloves should be worn over the gown cuff.

    Glove Change Frequency

    To maintain protection integrity:

    • During compounding, change gloves every 30 minutes.
    • For other chemotherapy-related activities, change gloves after each use or every 30 minutes of wear, whichever comes first.
    • Replace gloves immediately if they become contaminated, torn, or damaged.
