Before You Start

• Do not eat, drink (except plain water), smoke, chew gum, or vape for at least 30 minutes before collecting samples.
• Wash or sanitise your hands thoroughly.
• Ensure all components are at room temperature before use.

Step 1: Prepare the Test

1. Gently tear open the foil pouch and remove the test cassette.
2. Place the cassette on a clean, flat surface.
3. Do not touch the test window or sample well.

Step 2: Prepare the Extraction Tube

1. Take the extraction buffer tube and place it into the tube holder on the box.
2. Peel off the aluminium seal carefully.
3. Avoid spilling the liquid inside the tube.

Step 3: Collect Saliva Sample (Swab 1)

1. Remove one sterile swab from the packaging.
2. Do not touch the fabric tip of the swab.
3. Rub the swab inside the left cheek, between the cheek and gums, moving up and down at least 5 times.
4. Repeat the same motion inside the right cheek using the same swab.
5. Using the same swab, gently rub the palate (roof of the mouth) 5 times.
6. Avoid touching the tongue, teeth, or gum
7. Place Swab 1 into the extraction tube.

Step 4: Collect Nasal Sample (Swab 2)

1. Remove a second sterile swab from the packaging.
2. Insert the soft tip of the swab gently into one nostril, approximately 2 cm deep, until slight resistance is felt.
3. Rotate the swab around the inside of the nostril 5 times.
4. Repeat the process in the other nostril using the same swab. This step may feel slightly uncomfortable but should not be painful.
5. Place Swab 2 into the same extraction tube.

Step 5: Mix the Sample

1. Immerse both swab heads fully into the extraction buffer.
2. Stir and rotate the swabs at least 10 times.
3. While removing the swabs, squeeze the sides of the tube to extract as much liquid as possible.
4. Discard the used swabs into the provided biohazard bag and seal it.

Step 6: Prepare the Sample Solution

1. Securely attach the dropper cap onto the extraction tube.
2. Gently tap and mix the tube to ensure the solution is well combined.

Step 7: Apply the Sample

1. Add 2 drops (~50 µL) of the sample solution into the sample well (S) on the test cassette.
2. Ensure no air bubbles form.
3. The liquid will begin to migrate along the test strip automatically.

Step 8: Read the Results

• Start timing immediately.
• Read the results between 10 and 15 minutes.
• Do not interpret results after 15 minutes, as this may lead to inaccurate results.

Positive Result

• Two coloured lines appear:
  One line in the Control (C) region
  One line in the Test (T) region
• Even a faint line in the Test (T) region should be considered positive.

Negative Result

• One coloured line appears in the Control (C) region only.
• No line appears in the Test (T) region.

Invalid Result

• No line appears in the Control (C) region.
• The test result is invalid and must be repeated using a new test kit.
