How to Use

While the kit lets you know if bacteria or mould is present, you're welcome to send the sample to a lab if you'd like a more in-depth analysis to identify the specific type.

1. Prepare the test kit:

Carefully remove the tabbed piece from its protective casing, taking care not to touch it. Make sure that you keep the casing as it will be needed to incubate the test.

2. Collecting a sample:

Gather a sample by pressing the sides of the dip slide on the desired surface, whether it's inside your air-conditioner, on a specific area, or in water. Hold the dip slide in place for up to 1 minute to capture the mould particles effectively.
After sampling, place the tabbed piece back into the protective casing and return it to the original box.

3. Tagging or noting the sample location:

For easy reference, tag or write on the casing to indicate the location from which the sample was gathered. This will help you identify specific areas that may require mould cleaning or removal based on the test results.

4. Monitoring the test kit:

Check the test kit daily for the next 5-7 days. If mould or bacteria is present, you will observe the development of red or furry spots on the dip slide. The time it takes for these spots to appear can indicate the severity of the problem in your home, with a longer duration suggesting a lower level of contamination.

5. Comparing results:

Utilise the easy-to-read chart provided with the kit to compare the observed results.

Avoid exposing the product to extreme heat or cold.
Keep out of reach of children.
