The Sundström SR221 Pre-filter is designed to capture coarse particles before they reach the main filter, helping to extend the service life of your Sundström mask filters. By reducing early clogging, this Sundström pre-filter offers cost savings and greater efficiency when used with compatible Sundström respirators.

The SR221 fits securely into the pre-filter holder and snaps onto particle or combined filters. It is specifically developed to work with the Sundström SR 510 P3 R, SR 710 P3 R, and combined filters such as SR 299-2 ABEK1-Hg-P3 R and SR 599 A1BE2K1-Hg-P3 R. This makes it a simple but effective way to maximise the performance of your Sundström P3 filter setup.

    Directions for use
    1. Place the SR221 pre-filter into the Sundström pre-filter holder.
    2. Snap the holder onto the main Sundström filter (e.g. SR 510 P3 filter or combined filter).
    3. Attach the assembled filter unit securely to your Sundström respirator.
      Replace the pre-filter regularly (recommended daily or when visibly clogged) to prolong the life of the main filter.
    Fit check 
    1. Use the pre-filter holder to check if the mask is tight.
    2. Place the pre-filter holder to the filter.
    3. Put the mask on. Place the palm of your hand lightly over the hole on the pre-filter holder to make it tight.

    NOTE: Do not push so hard that the respirator’s shape is affected.

    Take a deep breath and hold your breath for about 10 seconds. If the mask is tight, it will be pressed against your face. 

    If any leakage is detected, check the inhalation and exhalation valves, adjust the straps of head harness or switch to alternative size of the respirator. Repeat the fit check until there is no leakage.

    Storage 

    Store at room temperature in clean, dry place. If seal has been broken, store away from contaminants in an air-tight container.
