Getting Started with the SleepImage Mobile App

Set Up Your SleepImage App in Minutes

Follow this step-by-step guide to download, connect, and record with your SleepImage Fingertip P06.

Download the mobile app:

The SleepImage Fingertip P06 makes it simple to test your sleep at home. Each device includes 3 tests with purchase, and you can add more* anytime.

* Extra tests available separately for $99 each.

Quick Start Guide

  • Download the SleepImage App from the App Store or Google Play

  • Log in with your Patient ID & date of birth

  • Pair the SleepImage Fingertip P06 through the app

    (not your phone’s Bluetooth settings)

  • Slip the device on your finger & start the sleep test

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Download the App

To get started, you’ll need the free SleepImage mobile app, available on both iOS and Android.

  • On iPhone, open the App Store and search “SleepImage”.
  • On Android, go to the Google Play Store and search “SleepImage”.
  • Tap Download/Install and wait for the app to finish installing.
  • Once installed, open the app and you’ll be ready to set up your profile and pair your device.

💡Pro Tip: Make sure you have the latest version of the app installed. Updates often include important improvements that help your device work smoothly.

Step 2: Allow Permissions

The app may request permissions on first use:

  • Bluetooth – Needed to connect the SleepImage device.
  • Location (Android only) – Required by Bluetooth, not for GPS tracking.
  • Notifications – Optional, for reminders and updates.

Step 3: Sign In

Creating your account takes seconds:

  • Enter your Patient ID and date of birth.
  • That’s all that’s required to link your data and generate reports.

Step 4: Pair Your SleepImage Fingertip P06

  • Insert your finger — the device powers on automatically.
  • Open the SleepImage app and select Pair Device.

Important: Always pair through the app, not through your phone’s Bluetooth settings.

Step 5: Start a Recording

  • Wear the ring on your left index finger at bedtime.
  • Open the SleepImage app and tap Start Recording.
  • Double-check the screen shows “Recording in progress.”
  • Sleep normally — tossing and turning won’t stop the recording.
  • The device runs silently with no distracting lights or sounds.

Important: Close all other apps running in the background to avoid Bluetooth interference.

Step 6: Stop Recording & Upload

  • In the morning, open the app and tap Stop (or you can even remove the device from your fingertip and it will stop automatically).
  • Data will upload automatically to the SleepImage system.

Aussie Pharma Direct will then email your full summary report (upon request).

Troubleshooting Tips

Can’t find the app in the store?

Search tips & alternatives

  • Search for “SleepImage” in the App Store/Google Play.
  • If it still doesn’t appear, update your phone’s OS or try another device.

Sign-in Problems

Can’t sign in?

  • Reset your password from the sign-in screen and try again.
  • Force-close and reopen the app after resetting the password.

Pairing Issues

Ring won’t connect?

  • Pair the fingertip device through the SleepImage app, not via your phone’s Bluetooth settings.
  • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled and permissions are granted (on Android, enable Location too).
  • Restart both your phone and the ring if it isn’t showing up.
  • If possible, try pairing with another phone/tablet to confirm if the issue is device-specific.

Bluetooth Interference

Unstable connection?

  • Move away from routers, microwaves, or dense metal surfaces that can interfere with signal.
  • Keep the phone close to the ring during recording (same room is best).

Going Out of Range

“Connection Lost” or “No SpO₂ signal”?

  • Remove the device and wait for any countdown to finish.
  • Place the device back on your finger and wait at least 20 seconds.
  • Check that SpO₂ and pulse rate values reappear successfully.

Upload Problems

Haven't received your report?

  • Keep the app open in the background until the upload is complete.
  • Check your phone has internet access in the morning.
  • If the report doesn’t appear, force-close and reopen the app.
  • Check the History tab for “Upload Status: Completed.”
  • Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data if one connection fails.

Airplane Mode

Should you use it?

  • Avoid using Airplane Mode during a sleep test. It can block Bluetooth (needed for recording) and internet (needed for uploads).

Unexpected Behaviour

App crash or odd-looking screen?

  • Restart your phone and the ring, then try again.
  • If your report hasn’t arrived, check your spam/junk email folder.
  • Still no report? Contact Aussie Pharma Direct so we can resend it or provide assistance.
