    Product Overview

    Product Name: SleepImage Fingertip Device Model: PO6

    Intended Use: This device is for adults and is intended for non-invasive, continuous data collection of plethysmography, oxygen saturation (SpO2), and actigraphy. It can be used in home environments and clinical institutions, excluding acute clinical environments like operating rooms and ICUs.

    Key Feature: The device is a portable, non-invasive fingertip device.

    Device Display: The display shows blood oxygen percentage, pulse rate, and pulse strength.

    Data Handling: No data is stored on the device itself. Data is transferred via Bluetooth to the SleepImage Mobile App during recording sessions.

    Pairing: The device must be paired with the SleepImage App to collect and transfer data. It's important to note that the device should not be paired in the phone's settings.

    Usage & Operation
    • Charging: The device battery is charged via a USB port. A full charge takes 2-3 hours and provides 12-14 hours of typical use.
    • Power On/Off: The device turns on automatically when a finger is placed in the sensor and turns off automatically when the finger is removed.
    • Starting/Stopping a Recording: To start a recording, wear the device on the left index finger and start the recording in the app. To stop, end the recording in the app and remove the device.
    • Checking Battery: Touch the power button to cycle the display to show the battery level.
    • Data Upload: After stopping a recording in the app, the data will upload to the SleepImage system.
    Warnings & Cautions
    • Prohibitions: Do not use the device during an MRI examination, with a defibrillator, or in a combustible environment.
    • Storage: Do not store the device in direct sunlight, high temperatures, high moisture, or near strong electromagnetic influences.
    • Safety: The device has no alarm system. Do not wear the device while it is charging. Keep the device and charging cable away from children and pets due to a strangulation risk with the cable.

      Many smartwatches rely on limited sensors and algorithms that can’t differentiate between true sleep stages or detect sleep apnoea reliably. In contrast, the SleepImage PO6 Fingertip™, when used with the SleepImage System, is an FDA-cleared Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) and TGA-approved in Australia — meaning it meets the standards of a medical device used for clinical evaluation.

      It continuously monitors multiple physiological signals including SpO₂, pulse rate, HRV, respiration, and actigraphy to diagnose both obstructive and central sleep apnoea, assess sleep quality, and track treatment outcomes.       Can I view my results in the app or only through my clinician?

      The SleepImage Mobile App is used to record your sleep sessions, but it does not display your results or reports directly within the app. After each night of testing, your sleep data is securely uploaded to the SleepImage clinical portal.

      To ensure accurate and meaningful results, we recommend that you complete at least 3 sleep tests. Once your tests are complete, our team at Aussie Pharma Direct will access your data and email your main report in PDF format. This report includes your sleep quality and any findings related to sleep apnoea. If you've completed your tests and haven't received your report yet, feel free to contact us directly.

      What should I do before going to sleep to ensure the device records properly?

      After you tap to start the recording in the SleepImage app, wait a few moments until the screen displays “Recording in Progress.” This message confirms that the device has successfully connected and is actively collecting data. Only once you see this message should you go to sleep. This ensures accurate recording throughout the night — even if you move or change sleep positions.

      We also recommend that you close all other apps running in the background on your mobile device before starting the recording. This helps prevent potential Bluetooth interference that could disrupt communication between the SleepImage PO6 Fingertip™ sleep ring and the app. Taking these steps will ensure a smooth and accurate overnight recording.
