How to use Better Breathing Sport

Here's a step-by-step guide on how you can use the Better Breathing Sport device:

1. Breathe In Deeply
   Take a deep breath to fill your lungs completely.
   
2. Blow Through the Device
   Place the Better Breathing Sport in your mouth and blow out steadily for 3–5 seconds.Maintain a consistent breath to activate the vibration inside the device.
   
3. Repeat for 10 Repetitions
   Perform 10 controlled breaths per session. Avoid blowing too hard — the goal is smooth, steady exhalation.
   
4. Use 1–2 Times Daily
   For best results, use the device once or twice a day for 5–10 minutes per session.
   
5. Prime Before Exercise
   Use the Better Breathing Sport about 30 minutes before a workout or sporting activity to help prepare your lungs and optimise oxygen delivery.

Extra Tips: Use Better Breathing Sport to improve the distribution and effectiveness of aerosol medication

Follow these steps before exercise or training:

1. Find a comfortable sitting position and ensure that your posture is correct.
2. Inhale slowly and deeply, taking in more air than you would with a normal breath, but avoid filling your lungs completely.
3. Hold your breath for 2 to 3 seconds.
4. Place Better Breathing Sport in your mouth and exhale through it at a moderate pace using abdominal breathing. Make sure not to fully empty your lungs.
5. Adjust the tilt of Better Breathing Sport to feel maximum vibrations within your chest while keeping your cheeks stiff.
6. Repeat steps 2 through 4 for 5 to 10 breaths.

The exercise may make you feel lightheaded. Whenever you do, be sure to take a break in between and breathe normally until the lightheadedness recedes. Resume the exercise once you feel better. Remind yourself to take it easy as overexerting yourself or pushing yourself too hard with the exercise makes you highly likely to pass out or lose consciousness.

How to clean Better Breathing Sport

The Better Breathing Sport device is used to clear mucus and phlegm from the airways. Proper cleaning after each use is crucial to remove any access moisture or mucus as the accumulation of these increases the potential for infections.

Before you can clean the device, you will need to unlock the child-resistant protective cover before disassembling the device, and here's how you can do it step-by-step:

1. With one hand, hold the clear cap and with the other hand, hold the body of the device.
2. Rotate the clear cap anti-clockwise by 0.3 inches. The cap may be difficult to turn as it is designed to prevent children from opening the device.
3. Remove the clear cap from the body of the device to disassemble it for cleaning.
4. Separate the clear cap from the blue body.

From then onwards, you can now start cleaning the Better Breathing Sport more thoroughly with these steps:

1. Wash all the Better Breathing Sport device components in water with a mild soap or detergent.
2. Rinse each component thoroughly with water.
3. Wipe all parts with a clean towel and allow them to dry completely.
4. Reassemble the device and store it in a clean, dry place.

Note: To ensure optimal hygiene, we recommend a more rigorous cleaning at least once a day by wiping or cleaning the already-cleaned components with at least 60-90% concentration of alcohol solution of ethyl or isopropyl alcohol.

Keep out of the reach of children and do not allow the Better Breathing Sport device to be used by unsupervised children (under age 13 years old).

The device is designed to be pulled apart for cleaning for multiple uses. Because of this, some of the small parts like the stainless steel ball and circular cone pose a choking hazard.
